Fèlsina concluded, on 7 March 2015, its conversion period to organic agriculture, as certified by ICEA, (Istituto di Certificazione Etica e Ambientale, Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification).

The conversion was carried out in the crop-growing area, through utilisation of organic products for fertilisation and soil amendment, as well as for anti-pest treatments.

Organic agriculture does not just concern agricultural production; it is also a philosophical approach, since the fewer external impacts there are on the ecosystem that could alter the environment or food chain, the more the ecosystem will remain in constant biological balance. A result of this is the preservation not only of the health of the vineyards and of the surrounding flora but of the animal species within Fèlsina’s wooded areas as well.
